Director, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting

📋 Description

• Lead Brex's global financial reporting and technical accounting framework.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance for consolidated and entity-level statements.
• Advise on accounting for product launches and complex transactions.
• Build a world-class reporting function aligned with Capital One standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Legal, and others.
• Drive process improvements via automation and AI initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting
• CPA license
• 10+ years of experience, including Big 4 or leadership in high-growth companies
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge in US GAAP
• Deep understanding of financial services, credit card processing or payment-related accounting
• Knowledge and experience using DFIN, Workiva or similar financial reporting platforms
