Distressed Editor - 6 month FTC

📋 Description

• Set the news agenda on distressed debt investing, restructurings and bankruptcies
• Deliver and edit proprietary news, trend and enterprise stories; review sourcing, attribution and legal checks
• Manage a team of reporters and support their professional development
• Work closely with credit and legal analysts on analytical pieces
• Coordinate with other teams on private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance
• Work with the 9fin engineering & business team to develop product features and improve publishing processes

🎯 Requirements

• A strong knowledge of distressed debt investing, corporate restructuring and bankruptcy cases
• Solid news judgment and ability to prioritize news coverage
• Proven editing skills with the ability to turn around copy quickly and concisely
• Good understanding of Media Law
• Excellent networking and relationship building skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills conveying messages accurately and concisely
