📋 Description

• Finding and gathering information to pitch timely, weather-related story ideas for AccuWeather.com.
• Writing multiple digital stories per month for publication on AccuWeather.com.
• Conducting source gathering and research to support accurate, compelling weather coverage.
• Using ChatGPT and other AI tools to edit content, test prompts, and optimize stories for digital
• Sourcing and clearing user-generated content for use in articles and on social platforms.
• Collaborating with editors, meteorologists, and the social team to align coverage across platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• Pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Meteorology or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Interest in weather, climate, and science-based storytelling.
• Basic understanding of SEO and digital publishing best practices is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
