Electrical Engineer II - Controls Panel

📋 Description

• Design control panels in compliance with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A standards
• Develop complete control panel schematic, layout and BOM using EPLAN
• Select appropriate control panel components including connectors, wire harnesses, branch circuit
• Select components rated for 600V AC and 2000V DC high-voltage applications
• Work directly with third-party panel vendors to translate design intent into built assemblies
• Execute and oversee high-voltage testing procedures including hipot, insulation resistance, and

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 2+
• Understanding of panel design software EPLAN or equivalent
• Some experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A requirements
• Hands-on experience in testing with high-voltage testing procedures and associated safety protocols
• Working knowledge of branch protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion device
• Familiarity with software including PLM (e.g., Arena or Team Center), product development software
