Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• Lead Core Lending engineering stream as a player-coach.
• Own people, delivery, and technical direction within Core Lending.
• Deliver credit decisioning, KYC/AML, open banking features.
• Report to Head of Engineering (Sydney), hybrid 3 days/week.
• Translate roadmaps into a sequenced, well-scoped delivery plan.
• Maintain high standards for craft, testing, and design.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong management experience leading engineers in a player-coach role.
• Experience managing people across a matrix, balancing delivery and leadership.
• Strong TypeScript and React background; full-stack with distributed microservices on AWS.
• Able to translate roadmap into a sequenced, clearly scoped delivery plan.
• High standards for craft, code quality, testing, and system design.
• Fintech or regulated industry experience; understanding compliance and risk.
