Engineering Manager: Applied AI

📋 Description

• Build and lead the Applied AI team, shipping GenAI features.
• Define team charter and roadmap with Eng leadership, Product, Design.
• Ship AI features that matter to customers across Copia products.
• Oversee architecture of AI-powered, full-stack systems (LLM, RAG, APIs).
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and safety in a safety-critical domain.
• Foster a culture of high standards and psychological safety.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years full-stack software engineering; 1–2 years leadership.
• Hands-on experience shipping AI-enabled products with LLM APIs, RAG, GenAI.
• Strong frontend, backend, APIs, and data foundation; design AI capabilities.
• Daily fluency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot).
• Demonstrated ability to coach engineers and grow them technically.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
