Engineering Manager (BE) - Ecosystem Distribution

📋 Description

• Lead and coach a team of 4–6 engineers building MCP and API capabilities
• Own team delivery and drive ongoing improvements
• Partner with Product to shape roadmap with outcomes and technical excellence
• Contribute to technical strategy across the broader engineering organisation
• Build connectors on major AI platforms (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Microsoft, Amazon)
• Work closely with external partners on integration quality and new capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading engineering teams (4+ engineers) in product-focused settings
• Hands-on production code in Java backend and TypeScript/React frontend
• Curiosity about AI, developer platforms, LLM tooling, MCP and AI agents
• Comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities
• Strong product sense: understand why you're building something, not just how
• Understanding of product lifecycle, technical debt, and quality at speed
• Clear written and verbal communication across teams, external partners, and leadership
