Engineering Manager, Bill Pay

📋 Description

• Build and lead a full-stack team (7-10 engineers) owning a defined part of Brex's next-generation
• Help define and continually sharpen the team's mandate within the broader Payments group — what it
• Set the team's technical and product direction, making thoughtful tradeoffs about what to build, in
• Ship a high-quality, reliable, competitive Accounts Payable product, balancing customer-facing
• Foster a people-centered culture, one built on enablement, trust, and context-sharing.
• Partner cross-functionally across Design and Product to align on scope and delivery.

🎯 Requirements

• Track record of engineering leadership building and scaling customer-facing products, including
• Strong product sense: ability to make and defend product and UX tradeoffs, not just technical ones.
• A staff-engineer-level technical bar; able to operate at all levels and earn the technical respect
• Strong customer empathy and advocacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated coaching and mentorship of engineers across levels.
