Federal Government Relations Director

📋 Description

• Be a senior member of our Government Relations & Public Affairs team, which works across the
• Develop and execute federal legislative advocacy — managing Stripe's engagement with Congress on
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress, committee and personal staff, and serve
• Engage federal regulatory agencies including Treasury Department, OCC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, CFPB
• Plan, develop, and execute political, policy and advocacy initiatives and campaigns
• Help colleagues across Stripe understand federal legislative and regulatory developments

🎯 Requirements

• At least 12+ years of experience in a policymaking, government, or senior advocacy role
• Background working for a Member of Congress, committee or leadership office, or senior policy role
• Deep expertise in financial services regulation and payments policy
• Familiarity with emerging technology policy including artificial intelligence and agentic commerce
• Strong relationships with policymakers and staff on both sides of the aisle
• Proven track record of managing complex, technical policy issues
