📋 Description

• Use SQL and analytics tools to analyze transactions, alerts, TM rules, and risk ratings.
• Improve and maintain FCC models (TM and sanctions) with data-driven methods.
• Develop bespoke TM rules and sanctions logic for Mercury's risk.
• Partner with Compliance, Product, and Data leaders on regulatory translation into analytics.
• Tell stories with data to make outputs clear and actionable.
• Interpret analytics to identify genuine risk signals for stakeholders.
• Document FCC models: scenarios, thresholds, tuning, and changes over time.
• Tune existing detection models to reduce false positives while staying rigorous.
• Develop data-driven methods to identify new typologies and risks.
• Collaborate with Model Risk Management for validation and monitoring.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with 8+ years analytics, FCC/AML experience.
• Deep understanding of AML and sanctions fundamentals.
• Strong SQL skills; Python or ML tooling experience a plus.
• Experience building and tuning ML or rule-based detection models.
• Ability to improve data-related and operational efficiencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of model risk to stakeholders.
