FinOps Program Manager

📋 Description

• Monitor and analyze engineering spend across cloud, AI/ML, and SaaS.
• Build forecasts for engineering spend with Finance and engineering leaders.
• Partner with engineering, product, and TPMs to factor cost into roadmaps.
• Lead cost optimization initiatives with engineering owners.
• Create dashboards and reporting for engineers and executives to understand spend.
• Implement FinOps practices, including showback/chargeback and unit economics.

🎯 Requirements

• 6–10+ years experience at the intersection of engineering, infra, data, or finance.
• Proven experience partnering with engineering teams to influence cloud infra, data, AI/ML workloads, or SaaS spend.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures (compute, storage, networking, data pipelines) for cost discussions.
• Strong cost analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and variance management with data-driven insights.
• Experience working with data and SQL to explore datasets and answer questions.
• Experience building dashboards and BI artifacts for engineers and leaders.
