Founding Engineering Lead

📋 Description

• Own engineering end to end (product, design, and code), working directly with the founders.
• Build our core systems from scratch and set the company's technical direction.
• Sit on-site with dentists and their staff, find the bottlenecks that cost them labor or hurt
• Ship agentic workflows that automate dental billing, claims, and payment posting.
• Decide when to take on technical debt and when to pay it down, based on what the business needs.
• Direct LLMs aggressively to ship high-quality code fast, without shipping AI slop.

🎯 Requirements

• A track record of owning and shaping projects end to end.
• Experience building entire codebases from scratch with 1 to 5 people, more than once.
• Strong CS fundamentals and systems judgment. You break problems down, know what right and wrong
• Product instinct. You turn messy customer feedback into what to build.
• Comfort talking with non-technical customers.
• Heavy use of AI tools. You hit your Claude Code limits regularly.
