GIS Migration Consultant

📋 Description

• Analyze existing geographic data structures in the legacy GIS, including object catalogs
• Develop a robust and repeatable data migration setup using Python and SQL.
• Automate the migration of GIS objects and their metadata from the legacy system to the new GIS
• Perform the migration of geographic data into the new GIS system, e.g. ArcGIS Pro.
• Ensure data integrity, completeness, and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Identify and analyze inconsistencies, missing data, and data quality issues after migration.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL, particularly for developing migration scripts and
• Experience with databases, including a good understanding of database structures and data models.
• Practical experience with data migration and data transformation, preferably involving
• Experience working with GIS systems.
• Analytical and structured way of working.
• Strong affinity for digitalization and process optimization.
