📋 Description

• Lead development and operation of Vandrel's pilot extrusion line for PEEK magnet wire.
• Drive surface preparation, oxidation control, adhesion strategy, and bond verification.
• Select, source, and bring up extruders, crossheads, dies, cooling, spooling, and inline metrology.
• Set dielectric strength, pinhole rate, elongation, and thermal cycling standards.
• Take the process from pilot through first commercial runs; build Vandrel's IP and methods.
• Integrate AI-driven computer vision and acoustic sensors for traceability.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in polymer extrusion or wire manufacturing; 5+ years in senior technical leadership.
• Hands-on with high-temperature thermoplastics (PEEK/PEKK/PAEK) or similar polymers.
• Proven track record taking extrusion from pilot to production (yield, cost, reliability).
• Copper-to-polymer interface expertise: surface prep, adhesion, thermal aging.
• Specify and qualify capital equipment; partner with vendors on PEEK tooling.
• Operator mindset: PPE-ready, crosshead work, solving defects at 2am.
