HIM Coordinator – Critical Access Hospitals

📋 Description

• Coordinate and monitor the lifecycle of legal health records, including electronic and paper
• Serve as a departmental HIM resource and coordinate special projects focused on legal health
• Conduct and review quality assurance audits for optical imaging, scanning, indexing, and electronic
• Analyze workflow, productivity, quality, compliance, and volume data to identify trends
• Facilitate the development and implementation of optimized workflows, procedures, and best
• Coordinate the maintenance of legal health records and related information in accordance with

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of experience in Health Information
• A Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
• RHIT or CHDA credentials are preferred and demonstrate additional expertise in health information
• Strong understanding of legal health records, protected health information, documentation
• Ability to conduct or review quality assurance audits and identify documentation, scanning
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational information
