Lab Support Engineer

📋 Description

• Assemble and disassemble prototype aircraft subsystems, electromechanical assemblies, and test
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and assembly procedures to plan
• Set up and operate manual and basic CNC shop equipment—including lathes, mills, drill presses, band
• Inspect and verify dimensions of fabricated parts and assemblies using precision measuring tools
• Procure and maintain lab inventory, including raw materials, consumables, hardware stock
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workshop environment by upholding lab safety protocols

🎯 Requirements

• 3 years of relevant experience in a hardware engineering lab, machine shop, model shop, or
• Associate degree, technical certification (e.g., Machining/Manufacturing Technology), Bachelor's
• Hands-on experience with manual fabrication equipment (mills, lathes, drill presses, saws) and
• Experience performing mechanical and electromechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lab safety practices, hazardous material handling, and equipment
