Laboratory Technician (Remote Mine Site) Assayer

📋 Description

• Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of
• Perform laboratory testing following SGS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), methods, and work
• Demonstrate good and safe work habits and enforce a clean working environment
• Ensure all personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant for tasks is worn properly at all times
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance / Quality Control checks on equipment
• Receive, sort and log client samples into the database, and prepare sample labels

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
• 0-1 years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience through post-secondary education
• Related Diploma or Associate degree in science preferred
• 1-3+ years working in industrial/laboratory/field setting preferred
• Good hand/eye coordination when handling samples and lab equipment
• Comfortable with numerals to monitor data on a computer screen
