Laboratory Technician, Trade Minerals

📋 Description

• Perform physical and chemical tests on minerals and fertilizer samples as per SGS’ Standard
• Prepare and split the submitted samples according to established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of preparation equipment and sample preparation area; dispose of retained
• Calibrate, operate and maintain analytical instruments including ISE, AA and others.
• Perform classical analytical methods as required and verify results, such as titration, gravimetric
• Provide feedback to the crew leader, supervisor or lab manager regarding any issues encountered

🎯 Requirements

• A post-secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a Science related program (Chemistry
• Good hand/eye coordination when handling samples and various equipment.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory setting is a strong asset.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow work instructions in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• Good time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
