Lead Accountant

📋 Description

• Run the monthly close: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and GAAP financial statements
• Prepare revenue recognition support under ASC 606 across usage, hardware, and prepaid billing
• Prepare supporting schedules for annual audit, corporate tax filings, and diligence requests
• Prepare and file annual 1099s
• Own the corporate compliance calendar end to end
• Manage Secretary of State annual reports, franchise tax, and local business licenses

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience owning full-cycle month-end close
• Strong understanding of GAAP with hands-on experience in revenue recognition, leases, and credit
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
• Comfortable owning a wide range of work
• Revenue recognition experience (ASC 606) in usage-based or multi-element billing
