Lead Designer

📋 Description

• Lead evolution of Datadog’s visual identity across touchpoints.
• Build brand systems, templates, asset libraries, and guidelines for quick, high‑quality work.
• Design, build, and steward a scalable, Figma‑native brand system with components, variables, and
• Partner with Brand, Creative Operations, Product, Marketing, Sales, and cross‑functional teams to
• Enable designers with tools, documentation, and workflows to extend the brand system confidently.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders with visual storytelling and strong judgment.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in graphic design and brand development with a portfolio in visual identity
• Strong visual design foundation: typography, layout, color, and hierarchy.
• Deep hands‑on Figma expertise: component architecture, style and variable systems, and
• Built a large‑scale brand system or Figma library from scratch.
• Experience mentoring or enabling other designers to work within a brand system.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
