Lead Generative AI Engineer

📋 Description

• Set the architecture standard for complex GenAI work across the function by building things others
• Hold sign-off on materially complex AI systems, catching architectural, safety, and reliability
• Own shared foundations for feature quality: retrieval patterns, evaluation infrastructure, data
• Build the hardest pieces of work directly and act as technical escalation point.
• Design systems for uptime and affordability with graceful degradation, fallback behavior, and

🎯 Requirements

• Experience setting technical direction adopted by other engineering teams.
• Strong Python and practical SQL skills for data work (grounding, golden datasets, analysis).
• Deep, current expertise across the GenAI stack including retrieval at scale, vector stores, agentic
• Fluency in MLOps tooling, deployment, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP).
• Ability to design systems that survive production and accountability when they fail.
• Strong point of view on evaluation, distinguishing evals that catch regressions from those that
