Legal Counsel, Litigation & Legal Process

📋 Description

• Review and respond to subpoenas, Section 1782 applications, garnishments, and court orders
• Negotiate scope with issuing parties and directly interface with opposing counsel.
• Address competing or conflicting orders from multiple jurisdictions.
• Respond to US law enforcement and government process including grand jury subpoenas.
• Assess and respond to litigation demands and threatened claims.
• Work with Compliance, Risk, Operations and data teams to gather facts.

🎯 Requirements

• JD and admission in good standing in at least one US state.
• Candidate may be based in New York or the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Minimum 4 years of litigation experience at a leading law firm, financial institution, fintech or
• Working knowledge of federal and state civil procedure, including subpoena and motion practice.
• Sound judgment and the ability to manage a high volume of time-sensitive matters.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
