• Shape M&A coverage, producing both a steady flow of deal scoops and an incisive series of
• Work closely with editors, data teams, product teams, sales and marketing to develop the best
• Identify and break M&A stories
• Participate in industry events and moderate conference panels
• Mentor junior journalists and become a source of support and knowledge within the team

• You will already have a fabulous source network and a track record of breaking M&A scoops
• You can demonstrate strong news judgement, with proven ability to recognise scoop potential, pitch
• You have a portfolio of thought-provoking analyses on your area of expertise
• You are comfortable with data and finding stories within data
• You hold yourself to high standards of accuracy in your reporting and in your writing
• You are able to navigate biases and question authority where necessary
