Manager, Data Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead a team of data engineers in our Strategic Data Org.
• Scale data foundations powering Airwallex products, analytics, and decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product and business stakeholders.
• Own data modeling, pipelines, and analytics-ready datasets across domains.
• Drive AI strategy and automation for the team.
• Hybrid role based in San Francisco.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in CS, IS, Finance, Math, or related field.
• 8+ years ETL design/implementation experience (Informatica, Talend, NiFi, etc.).
• 2+ years leading data engineers (hiring, coaching, performance).
• SQL, MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle, and data warehousing expertise.
• GCP familiarity: BigQuery and Airflow.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and comms.
