Manager I, Engineering - Sensitive Data Scanner

📋 Description

• Lead and grow a team of engineers building real-time sensitive data detection across Datadog’s
• Partner with Logs, APM, RUM teams and Trust & Safety to align on roadmap and integration
• Shape product direction by working with Product and grounding decisions in customer needs and
• Stay hands-on: contribute to design decisions and participate in the team’s on-call rotation
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers as the team grows
• Help build a strong engineering culture within the Sensitive Data Scanner group

🎯 Requirements

• Experience shipping revenue-generating products with strong product sense and customer focus
• Hands-on experience with Go and/or Java and building distributed, streaming systems at scale
• Experience managing engineers or readiness for first formal management role, with goal setting and
• Measuring success by customer and business outcomes, not just output
• Ability to balance speed and correctness in fast-moving environments
