Manager, Staff Accountant

📋 Description

• Prepare and post recurring and routine journal entries, ensuring transactions are accurately
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure financial information is
• Maintain assigned general ledger accounts, which may include cash, prepaid expenses, accounts
• Review account activity and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions, escalating complex
• Support the continuous improvement of close processes, accounting procedures, and financial
• Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial statements, and core
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end or year-end
• Experience in nonprofit, education, charter school, or other mission-driven organizations preferred.
