📋 Description

• Own the mechanical architecture of dynamometer and actuator test cells, including frames, bases
• Design dynamometer structures, robotic actuator fixtures, load-motor mounts, couplings, shafts
• Translate robotic actuator test requirements into robust mechanical systems for torque, speed
• Perform first-principles analysis and simulation for stiffness, strength, fatigue, vibration
• Create precise, repeatable alignment strategies that protect test articles, load machines, sensors
• Design modular fixturing that supports rapid changeover across actuator and motor variants without

🎯 Requirements

• Strong intuition for load paths, stiffness, alignment, and practical behavior of real hardware
• Hands-on experience assembling, aligning, instrumenting, and debugging test equipment
• First-principles analysis and simulation skills covering stiffness, strength, fatigue, vibration
• Understanding of tolerance, runout, resonance, thermal growth, guarding, and serviceability
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Expert communication skills across hardware, software, and controls teams
