Payments Counsel

📋 Description

• Advise on US/EU payments regs incl. PSD2/PSD3, MTLs, EMD2.
• Partner with Compliance & Licensing on licenses and ongoing obligations.
• Draft cardholder agreements across jurisdictions.
• Draft/review/ negotiate agreements with banks, processors & vendors.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel on regulatory issues.
• Assist regulators; respond to audits, exams, and inquiries.
• Stay ahead of changes in payments, crypto, fintech.

🎯 Requirements

• JD from top law program; US-trained preferred.
• 5-8 years in payments/fintech regulatory work.
• Strong US/EU payments regs knowledge: PSD2/PSD3, MTLs, EMD2.
• Experience drafting/regulatory work for fintech contracts.
• Excellent written/verbal communication; translate regulation to business advice.
• Collaborative, cross-time-zone mindset; team player.
