Payroll Accounting Specialist

📋 Description

• Bi-weekly payroll review, payroll accounting and compliance
• Research and resolve issues; initiate corrective actions and adjustments
• Coordinates maintenance of the Dayforce payroll system
• Prepares general ledger transactions timely and accurately
• Supports the annual 401(k) audit
• Ensures annual benefits updates are implemented accurately and timely

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in Accounting or 5+ years of payroll accounting experience
• 4 to 7 years of related experience with payroll, benefits, compliance, accounting and audit
• Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and quality control concepts
• Experience with Canadian payroll and vacation entitlements required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect and build
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing priorities while meeting established
