Payroll Manager (m/f/d)

📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for countries in scope: maintain payroll calendars, manage
• Lead, coach and develop payroll team: plan workloads, manage absences and cover, and drive
• Manage and govern external payroll providers: set and monitor service levels, perform quality
• Collaborate closely with Finance/Accounting and Local HR to ensure data quality, correct general
• Standardise and document processes through country playbooks and identify opportunities to automate
• Act as deputy for peer payroll manager during absences to maintain uninterrupted service delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience (min. 2 years) leading multi-country payroll operations and managing both
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax and social security requirements across Western Europe
• People management skills: coaching, resource planning, cross-training, and performance management
• Solid experience with payroll systems and robust Excel capability (pivot tables, advanced
• Effective communication and confident partnership with HR, Finance and local management
• Fluent English, with languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) as a plus
