Port Dispatcher/Driver Manager - Port/Drayage

📋 Description

• Schedule and dispatch owner-operators and third-party drivers and carriers hauling under
• Plan routes to ensure that pick-ups and deliveries are completed efficiently and on schedule
• Build strong relationships with Cargomatic's owner-operators and carriers
• Assess driver and vehicle capability for each requested haul
• Track and trace shipments
• Problem-solve and communicate any issues, delays, or concerns with shipments

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Port/Drayage Dispatcher experience required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work with urgency
• Strong knowledge of logistical concepts, supply chain terminology, and dispatch best practices
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make productive decisions based on informed judgment
• Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to overcome objections
