Power Grid Analyst (Data Centres and Industrials)

📋 Description

• Grid assessment: Map, analyze and model grids across various markets
• Techno-economic and electrical power flow modeling to define optimal mix of resources
• Technical assessment of solutions for grid quality and stability issues, with focus on non-wire
• Grid development plans: review and design grid investment plans or Integrated Resource Plans
• Interconnection: Analyse grid constraints and provide insights on grid connection queues
• Interest in expanding into commercial modelling

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in energy systems or educational background in electrical engineering or power
• Advanced power flow modelling expertise (PSCAD, PSSE, PowerFactory, PandaPower) and knowledge of
• Ability to run or develop deterministic physics based grid modeling tools
• Knowledge of linear, economic modelling (e.g. Plexos) is a plus
• Experience with DERs, medium and high voltage grids and utility-scale energy projects
• Deep understanding of energy economics and grid infrastructure principles
