Pre Service Center Verification Specialist

📋 Description

• Monitor registration, referral, and prior authorization work queues
• Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, eligibility, subscriber, employer, primary care
• Obtain and document referrals, prior authorizations, precertification numbers, and other payer
• Navigate payer and organizational policies to determine appropriate requirements for scheduled
• Use online payer databases, electronic correspondence, fax, telephone, and other resources to
• Collaborate with patients, physicians, practices, insurance carriers, case management, utilization

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred
• 1-3 years of hospital registration and/or insurance experience desirable, at least one year of
• General knowledge of healthcare terminology and CPT/ICD-10 coding
• Strong understanding of insurance processes, eligibility, referrals, prior authorizations, and
• Experience with Epic or similar electronic health record and practice management systems highly
• Familiarity with Epic work queues and related systems such as ADT, Prelude, and Grand Central is a
