Principal Software Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead and guide the design and implementation of scalable distributed systems based on Java
• Engineer and optimize data pipelines using solutions like Apache Hudi, Apache Trino, Azure ADLS
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, and AI teams to ensure data is a strategic
• Advance modernization efforts, deepening event-driven architectures and cloud-native technologies
• Drive data governance, observability, and performance tuning for data workloads
• Embed data quality in pipelines with schema contracts, tests, and automated checks across

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in software or data engineering, 4+ years in data pipelines (batch/streaming)
• Experience mentoring engineers and delivering high-scale solutions as a hands-on contributor
• Strong knowledge of event-driven architectures and distributed systems
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized deployments
• Data quality, CI/CD, schema management, automated testing (e.g., dbt, Great Expectations)
• Observability, metrics, logging, tracing, alerting for data pipelines
