Principal Software Engineer - Identity & Access Management

📋 Description

• Own the technical vision and roadmap for Sezzle's auth platform.
• Architect and build scalable, highly-available auth services and gateway in Golang.
• Lead zero-downtime migrations of auth traffic with rollback safety.
• Collaborate with Security, Compliance, Product, and engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers; define best practices for observability, CI/CD, and security.
• Handle on-call rotations and incident response for the auth path.

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend focus.
• Deep expertise in authentication and authorization: OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT.
• Experience designing/operating an API gateway or auth proxy at scale.
• Strong Golang proficiency and RESTful APIs.
• SQL-based RDBMS experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL) with performance tuning.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field.
