📋 Description

• Set the technical direction for Canva's hybrid mobile platform across React Native, iOS and Android
• Get the new platform into production, turning architecture into shipped code with performance
• Prove the platform on a real product surface with a React Native surface live in production within
• Lead senior engineers through the migration, acting as the architectural anchor for Staff and
• Scale adoption across Canva by working with major product teams moving onto the platform and

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with cross-platform architecture at scale (React Native, Flutter, Kotlin Multiplatform
• Experience leading a migration of a mature mobile product onto a new architecture while it remained
• Principal-level technical leadership: set technical direction across multiple teams and influenced
• Organisation-wide influence: shaped architecture adopted across multiple groups or a large
• Hands-on technical depth: still close to the code and comfortable with hard implementation details
• Engineering judgement: reason from first principles and challenge assumptions constructively
