📋 Description

• Define how Meter builds and sells its first data center switching line, setting technical and
• Work with firmware and backend engineers on control plane design, API design, and observability
• Weigh in on hardware tradeoffs that intersect with software (port density, thermal limits affecting
• Build hiring plan and assemble the engineering team for control plane, APIs, optics, and
• Talk to prospective data center customers about their needs and underserved market areas.
• Stay current on data center networking research and share insights with engineering teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Built and shipped firmware or software side of a data center networking platform, ideally as an
• Experience with control plane design, API design, and observability in real deployments.
• Knowledge of hardware aspects (ASIC capabilities, port speed, power and thermal limits) to make
• Ability to work hands-on with engineers in firmware repo or incident channels.
• Skill in aligning engineering teams without formal authority, treated as peer by hardware
• Strong systems thinking and sequencing of work.

🎁 Benefits

• Estimated base salary between $205,000 – $270,000.
• Eligibility to participate in Meter's equity plan.
