Propulsion Structural Engineer, Combustion Devices

📋 Description

• Support the design and qualification of Aeon-R combustion devices through concept to flight.
• Perform hand calculations and FEM analyses for structural closure.
• Interface with hardware designers to ensure performance and safety.
• Define test objectives to validate models and verify hardware performance.
• Own parts from design through qualification and flight.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field.
• 1+ years in structural analysis or modeling.
• Experience applying first principles in structural mechanics (bending, vessels, buckling).
• Experience applying first principles in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
• Familiarity with structural analysis packages (ANSYS, FEMAP, NASTRAN, ABAQUS).
• Nice to have: ANSYS Mechanical experience.
