Security Operations Manager

📋 Description

• Set up detection and monitoring for security across the platform and wider IT, including tooling
• Decide the mix of in-house and outsourced monitoring or response, and own that relationship
• Set up how security alerts are handled, owned and escalated
• Lead response to security incidents, including playbooks, records and practice exercises
• Work with reliability team on resilience and recovery, including backups, restore testing and
• Triage vulnerabilities into a shared tracker

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building or leading security operations or detection and response
• Strong grounding in detection and monitoring, including logging, alerting and building detections
• Experience leading incident response, including playbooks and exercises
• Collaborative approach with experience alongside SRE or platform engineering teams
• Experience choosing and managing outsourced monitoring or response providers
• Practical, low-drama approach
