Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• Support month-end close activities related to revenue and AR (journal entries, reconciliations
• Record journal entries for cash receipts and maintains reconciliations
• Ensures revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606, including evaluating contracts
• Oversees AR sub-ledger accuracy, including invoicing, credit memos, and cash application
• Investigates and resolves billing discrepancies, invoice disputes, and credit memo mismatches
• Manages communications to customers related to outstanding invoices

🎯 Requirements

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and how it applies to accounts receivable, revenue, deferred revenue, and
• Solid understanding of ASC 606 (revenue recognition) — performance obligations, variable
• Process improvement mindset — spotting where manual reconciliation work can be automated or
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
