Senior Accountant

📋 Description

• Own month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and
• Maintain accurate accounting for tuition, fees, scholarships, discounts, refunds, student
• Investigate revenue and expense variances, explain underlying activity, and prepare schedules for
• Support daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee
• Partner with Student Accounts and Financial Aid to reconcile student-account activity, financial
• Support annual audits, tax-related work, Department of Education reporting, and compliance

🎯 Requirements

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting with strong US
• Comfortable preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and
• Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, and
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize under deadlines, flagging issues early with
• Clear communication with non-finance partners and strong collaborative relationships.
