Senior Android Engineer — Mobile Workflows

📋 Description

• Build and maintain Android-specific development tooling including simulator setup, device
• Develop and enhance the mobile test automation framework for synthetic and integration testing on
• Design and implement CI/CD quality gating with automation tests to detect regressions proactively
• Collaborate with Native Infra, Cross Platform and DevX teams to consolidate mobile workflows
• Contribute to mobile testing best practices and methodologies across Canva
• Support triage workflows and monitoring for mobile development and testing

🎯 Requirements

• Strong computer science foundations and software engineering practices
• Expertise in Kotlin, concurrency and reactive programming
• Experience with CI/CD, build pipelines (e.g., Fastlane, Gradle)
• Familiarity with test automation patterns and cross-platform frameworks
• Experience with device farms like BrowserStack is a plus
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and implement solutions independently
