Senior Backend Engineer | Accounting

📋 Description

• Design and build backend services, APIs, and data models that support accounting workflows across
• Make financial data accurate, traceable, and resilient as transactions move through coding
• Improve the reliability and visibility of workflows that span Ramp and customers' accounting
• Partner with product and engineering teammates to understand finance teams' needs and turn them
• Own substantial projects from design and implementation through launch, monitoring, and iteration
• Raise the engineering bar through thoughtful design reviews, code reviews, and mentorship

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and operating production backend systems, including APIs, data
• Strong system design judgment, especially around data correctness, reliability, and keeping complex
• A track record of independently owning complex projects and shipping high-quality software
• The ability to investigate problems across services and data flows and turn what you learn into
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to technical decisions and feedback
