Senior Backend Engineer, Trading & Connectivity

📋 Description

• Build high-throughput connectivity: distributed event systems (Kafka, gRPC, DynamoDB/Redis).
• Own latency and scale: profile/optimize routing and data distribution.
• Drive operational excellence: on-call, reliability, logging, and deployments.
• Work near the exchange: partner on routing, rate limiting, protocol integrations.
• Provide technical leadership: mentor, hire, and stay hands-on.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Core Exchange, Markets, and Infra teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years backend experience; high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Expertise in event-driven architectures and streaming (Kafka, gRPC, DynamoDB/Redis).
• Strong on-call ownership; reliability, logging, and deploy standardization.
• Comfortable with exchange connectivity (order routing, rate limiting, protocol integrations).
• Demonstrated technical leadership; mentoring, hiring, and hands-on delivery.
• Plus: trading systems, latency-sensitive domains; gRPC/Protobuf; cloud (AWS/GCP).
