Senior Database Reliability Engineer

📋 Description

• Own availability, recoverability, and performance for all SQL Server platforms in the acquired data
• Build and maintain a complete, documented inventory of the SQL Server estate
• Validate backup strategy against Recovery Point Objectives and perform scheduled test restores
• Manage high availability, including Always On, failover clustering, log shipping, and transactional
• Lead incident response for database-layer events and write post-incident reviews
• Own disaster recovery and contingency planning, including annual DR exercises

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in production database engineering
• Operational ownership of a 24x7 environment
• Deep knowledge of SQL Server 2016+, including Always On availability groups, failover clustering
• Advanced T-SQL, execution plans, and indexing strategy
• Experience running SQL Server in AWS (RDS, RDS Custom, or EC2)
• At least one on-prem-to-cloud migration
