Senior Engineering Manager, Billing Infrastructure

📋 Description

• Develop and execute the technical strategy for Headway's Billing System platform
• Drive the design and implementation of a codified financial state machine, including guardrail
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and other engineering teams to ensure data integrity and
• Lead a team of engineers, mentor them, and foster technical excellence in backend and distributed
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering Leadership to define and prioritize the roadmap for
• Champion the adoption of best practices in software architecture and engineering processes

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Team Lead or Engineering Manager
• Attuned and empathetic to the challenge of operating within a complex financial/billing platform
• Experience leading platform or infrastructure teams at a scope beyond a single team
• Experience with backend and distributed systems: financial state machines, event-driven
• Led platform work defining contracts and standards for other engineering teams
