Senior Manager, Data Engineering

📋 Description

• Own the data platform's technical direction (pipelines, infra, orchestration).
• Lead architecture for cloud data infra; balance scale, cost, reliability.
• Drive platform ops: observability, data quality, cost, incidents, SLAs.
• Set engineering standards: testing, documentation, CI/CD, code reviews.
• Evolve infrastructure as code to be auditable, repeatable, resilient.
• Lead and develop a team of data engineers, including managers and ICs.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in data engineering; 5+ years leading managers/teams.
• Deep Snowflake expertise: schema design, cost governance, data sharing, performance tuning.
• 5+ years engineering management; leading a multi-team org.
• Strong architectural judgment on pipelines and platform evolution.
• Experience leading distributed engineering across workstreams.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and Python.
• AWS expertise: S3, Lambda, Fargate, Redshift, Kinesis; IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Data governance, security, and compliance in production.
