Senior Manager, Payments Risk

📋 Description

• Own the merchant risk policy and operating framework, including onboarding criteria, verification
• Define and evolve the organization’s payments risk appetite in partnership with Legal, Finance, and
• Own portfolio loss analysis and risk reporting, tracking metrics such as loss rates, approval
• Develop and manage the transaction monitoring strategy, including risk rules, flags, review
• Establish the dispute strategy and implement preventative measures to reduce disputes and improve
• Exercise decision-making authority over escalations, account holds, and merchant offboarding, while

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in payments risk, including leadership or cross-functional responsibilities
• Strong expertise across payments: acquiring, merchant underwriting, chargebacks, transaction
• Hands-on experience with Stripe (especially Stripe Connect) or a comparable payments platform.
• Proven ability to create practical risk policies that teams can follow consistently.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering difficult decisions with clarity and empathy.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills; experience with SQL, Stripe Sigma, or similar tools is a
