Senior Manager, Production Engineering

📋 Description

• Contribute to the SRE vision, strategy, and roadmap for a large-scale cloud infra.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing SRE team, promoting ownership and learning.
• Champion automation-first practices using Terraform, Kubernetes, and IaC to reduce toil.
• Establish and evolve Operational Excellence practices for proactive ops.
• Drive incident management, postmortems, root-cause analysis, and system hardening.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and support to build resilient, self-healing systems.
• Evolve on-call strategy for a 24x7 globally distributed platform.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in a leadership role at cloud provider, hyperscaler, or high-growth tech company.
• Experience hiring and managing globally distributed 24x7 engineering teams.
• Experience designing incident management: on-call, escalation, postmortems, and SLO/SLA.
• Solid foundation in systems engineering: distributed systems, networking, storage.
• Strong collaboration across product, platform, hardware, and security teams.
• Familiarity with GPU-accelerated workloads, including scheduling and performance tuning.
• Experience in AI infrastructure for training or inference at scale.
