Senior Mechanical Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the design of mechanical subsystems from concept through production release
• Analyze and test designs using FEA, kinematics, dynamics, and tolerance analysis
• Design for manufacturability, reliability, and cost
• Work with supply chain, contract manufacturer, and suppliers to develop fixtures and assembly
• Partner with Electrical, Firmware, Controls, Product, and Operations teams
• Provide mechanical engineering support for manufacturing and field issues, drive defects to root

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience with 5+ years of hands-on mechanical
• Strong SolidWorks skills, solid statics, dynamics, kinematics, strength of materials, stress
• Knowledge of component manufacturing processes: injection molding, sheet metal, weldments, CNC
• Hands-on builder: prototype, instrument, characterize, and test your own work
• Cross-disciplinary fluency: comfortable working with Electrical, Firmware, and Controls engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
